Ukrainian guards wound civilian at Mariupol checkpoint

Donetsk, Aug 27 – DAN. A young man was shot at by Ukrainian National Guard members as he was leaving Mariupol, the Donetsk Republic Militia spokesman Rinat Aigistov said on Tuesday citing intelligence reports.

“During a check at the BP-2C002 checkpoint at the eastern exit from Mariupol, a civilian, aged 26, suffered a gunshot wound. He was shot at by Ukraine’s National Guard gunmen from Zaporozhye military unit No 3029 as he refused to pay the checkpoint crossing fee which was arbitrarily set by the guards.
