DPR defense on high alert as Ukrainian forces plot sabotage operations

Donetsk, Apr 5 – DAN. Ukrainian special services are plotting sabotage operations on the eve of the presidential election second tour, said DPR People’s Militia deputy chief-of-staff Eduard Basurin.

DPR forces have been put on high alert in connection with these reports, he said.

“The Ukrainian Ministry of Defense and Special Operations forces have developed a three-stage plan: aggravating crime situation, rising social tensions, deploying groups of Ukrainian security service and activating sleeper cells in DPR regional centers, carrying out sabotage acts targeting vital infrastructure.

He said a dozen of sabotage groups have been established.

Basurin said that the plan was developed by the JFO operations commander lieutenant-general Igor Lunyev. The implementation thereof is supervised by the US 4th Psychological Operations Group.*ot
