Ukrainian sniper fires at vehicles carrying Vasilyevka pumping station workers – JCCC

Donetsk, Apr 7 – DAN. Ukrainian army units opened sniper fire at the cars carrying Vasilyevka pumping station personnel outside Yasinovataya on Tuesday, the Donetsk Republic Office at the Joint Centre for Control and Coordination (JCCC) reported.

“The JCCC recorded firing by Ukrainian armed formations towards Vasilyevka at 9:55,” the report said. “The enemy opened sniper fire at the convoy carrying personnel of the 1st level pumping station of the Yuzhnodonbasskiy water duct.”

The attack occurred during shift change, despite the existing guarantees not to open fire within 15 kilometres of the facility. No casualties were immediately reported.

The Vasilyevka pumping station, a key Donbass water supply facility, services the Yuzhnodonbasskiy water duct supplying water to residents on both sides of the contact line.*jk
