Millions of Ukrainians support strong ties with Moscow, not NATO or tomos

Donetsk, May 27 – DAN. Millions of Ukrainians support normal relationship with Russia instead of NATO integration and tomos of autocephaly of the so-called Orthodox Church of Ukraine, Alexey Chesnakov, political scientist and director of the Center for Current Politics said.

“Millions of Ukrainians are openly supporting development of ties with Russia; for them it is more natural, understandable and clear than tomos and NATO,” he said.

Chesnakov also spoke about strengthening humanitarian processes between Russia and Donbass. He said Russia should do everything possible to help the people who trust in it.

Donbass, he said, should be a better place than Ukraine. “The Republics and Russia must prove they are more efficient than the Ukrainian regime based on Western doles.”*ot
