Kiev forces plant over 1,400 mines next to Gorlovlka roads, farmland

Donetsk, May 21 – DAN. Ukrainian armed formations planted more than 1,400 anti-tank mines west of Gorlovka, Donetsk Republic Militia deputy command Eduard Basurin said on Thursday.

“We continue to record the mining of public roads,” Basurin said. “We have information that 58th Brigade planted 900 anti-tank mines on a strip of land alongside the road in the Novgorodskoye settlement.”

“54th Brigade planted more than 500 anti-tank mines in Troitskoye village farmland,” he said.

In March 2016, the subgroup on security coordinated “the Tripartite Contact Group decision on mine action” which commits the parties to the Donbass conflict to mine clearance and mapping and fencing of dangerous areas in the region.*jk
