DPR-Ukraine humanitarian corridor to reopen on October 2

Donetsk, Oct 1 – DAN. The Yelenovka crossing point on the contact line south of Donetsk will reopen on October 2, the Donetsk Republic COVID-19 crisis headquarters reported on Thursday.
“The Yelenovka crossing point will operate for entry and exit on Friday, October 2, from 9:00 to 18:00,” the report said.
To enter the Republic, visitors have to obtain a permit from the COVID-19 crisis headquarters; residence registration in Ukraine is required to exit the DPR.
The new arrivals have to fill out a consent form for examination at a medical centre. They can opt to pay for a COVID-19 rapid test at the crossing point. However, even if the test result is negative, the visitor has to agree to self-isolation at their place of stay. In case of positive test, the visitor is sent to a hospital for further examination.
The Yelenovka crossing point reopens twice a week, on Mondays and Fridays. On September 28, more than 230 people entered the DPR.*jk
